College Consulting Process 

1. Preliminary Review

  • Reviewing students’ transcript, standardized test scores, extracurricular activities (Students and Parents’ mandatory pre-questionnaire)
  • Discussing admission strategies based on students’ performance.
  • Ensuring maximum consideration of students’ credentials.

2. Data Collection and Analysis

  • Reviewing and analyzing students’ transcript(Current graes& course lists)
  • Reviewing SAT/ACT/ AP scores and planning for the future test schedule, if needed, arranging 1-1 lesson

3. Application Preparation

  • Planning Admission Timeline
  • Effective Admission deadline planning: EA/ED/RD/Rolling
  • Assist students in coordinating application materials and completing all applications.
  • Clarifying application instructions
  • Reviewing all forms.
  • Providing guidance on all questions
  • After drafts are completed, we review each student’s application for unanswered questions, incorrect answers, and other ‘red flags’ that may negatively impact students’ admission prospects.

4. Essay Writing Support

  • Working students to brainstorm essay topics
  • Assisting students in developing the essay content
  • Teaching students elements of an effective college essay
  • Reviewing student’s essays with a professional CollegeTOP Consulting essay team.

5. Extracurricular Activities Sheet/Resume/ Planning

Students’ activity sheet/resume has become an important part of the college application.

  • Helping students formulate a clear, concise, and reflective activity sheet/resume
